The Mining Code 2003 (Law No.2003-30) regulates the legislative provisions relating to prospecting, research and mining activities. The regulatory framework for the sector includes the Decree of 1 January 1953 on Mines and Decree nº 2003-1726 that establishes the composition and operating procedures of the mining advisory committee.
