The Mining and Extraction of Aggregates Act 2020 (Law 9/2020) regulates all mining operations in Sao Tome and Principe. This law applies to all natural and legal persons involved in the temporary, sporadic, or permanent management, exploitation, and extraction of aggregates in São Tomé e Principe. Other substantive laws within the regulatory framework for the mining sector can be found below.
